MarNIS Port Assessment Toolkit

The Port Assessment Toolkit provides port authorities and harbour masters with a pro-active approach to risk management, directing them to areas of concern in a transparent manner.  

This website is provided to European Ports and the wider maritime community to allow dissemination of the Port Assessment Toolkit developed as part of the 6th Framework European Research Project ‘MarNIS’.

The Port Assessment Toolkit is a decision-support tool that focuses on people, environment, port business, security and property to prioritise safety assessments and review decision-making through accident/incident reporting.
