Information on key national and regional policies, objectives and
targets has been collated for each human use sector, together with
spatial information on where these human uses occur in the study
area.
For each use sector, the website now contains:
- A proforma identifying:
- the main legislation governing the use;
- national and regional
policies, objectives and targets
- issues/constraints facing
the sector
- future requirements for the sector (5years, 20
years)
- A metadata table identifying spatial information on the sectoral
use and, where appropriate, the associated marine resources
- One or more maps identifying the spatial location of the use
in the study area
The sectoral information has been circulated directly to those stakeholders
with policy responsibilities for the sector and to industry representatives
for that sector. The information has also been put on the website
to provide an opportunity for comment by those stakeholders with
a more general interest in particular use sectors.
If you wish to comment on an individual proforma, please download
the document from the website (in Microsoft Word) and add comments/additional
material directly to the document and then email it back to: mspp@abpmer.co.uk.
We would also welcome comments from stakeholders on any gaps/omissions/errors
in the spatial data for individual sectors. We would be grateful
for any comments by Friday 10th June at the latest.
If you have difficulty viewing or downloading any of the material
or any other queries, please get in touch via email or contact Stephen
Hull or Natalie Frost at ABPmer on 023 8033 8100.
